Reasons and solutions for the inability of explosion-proof cameras to start normally
Explosion proof cameras are a cross product of the explosion-proof industry and the monitoring industry, and can be used in sites with flammable, explosive gases, dust, and other materials. Understanding the reasons and solutions for equipment failure to start up properly can effectively ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
If the camera is powered on normally but there is no image, it can be preliminarily determined that it is a malfunction of the explosion-proof camera itself. Assuming that only one camera experiences this malfunction, the problem may occur in the internal program of the surveillance camera crashing.
Solution: It can be restored after power outage and restart, and the main reason may be due to poor reset circuit.
At present, the power quality of explosion-proof cameras is generally good, but it cannot be ruled out that it may be unstable or broken over time. The power of the switching power supply itself is insufficient, which leads to overheating of the switching power supply and thermal protection. The inspection method is to go to the site to check if the power supply has temperature. If it is cold, it is usually a power outage.
Solution: Replace the power supply.
Generally speaking, camera chips have protective functions, and short-term contact with wires will not cause fatal damage to the camera product. If the voltage is 220V, it is difficult to say. The circuit has a power supply: If it is overlapped with AC power on the video transmission line, it will cause the electrolytic capacitors inside the monitoring camera head and distributor to charge, thereby blocking the video signal output. Test method: Use a multimeter to measure the voltage of the video cable.
Solution: Find the place where the power supply is connected or add an anti-interference device. The anti-interference device has a full isolation function inside to prevent similar phenomena from occurring. Moreover, it can have a maximum voltage of 220V on the video circuit and the equipment can still work normally without transmitting to the explosion-proof monitoring camera or the main control room.
Sometimes we connect the positive and negative poles of the explosion-proof camera circuit in reverse, usually just turn it over and it's okay. Excessive refinement leads to high voltage drop, causing the analog camera manufacturer's camera to fail to start.
Solution: Regular construction, simulate the camera manufacturer's prompts to use a multimeter to measure the input voltage and current of the camera.
Explosion proof cameras should also be installed and used with caution. The inlet of explosion-proof cameras must be sealed with rubber sealing rings, and it is strictly prohibited to arbitrarily modify the structure, components, and internal wiring of explosion-proof cameras. The fastening bolts must not be arbitrarily replaced or missing. The excess elastic sealing gasket and metal gasket of the inlet and outlet must be kept in the factory sealed state, and the compression nut should be tightened to seal the inlet. It is best to use hidden wires for wiring. If it is impossible to use exposed wires, it is necessary to ensure that the physical protection of the circuit is well done.
For explosion-proof infrared cameras, attention should be paid to avoiding strong impacts during installation. During daily operation, maintenance, and inspection, the explosion-proof camera casing should be avoided as much as possible. If it must be opened, the power should be cut off first. Explosion proof infrared cameras rely on infrared lamps equipped with CCD to emit infrared light and reflect it onto the CCD camera lens for imaging. Therefore, when installing explosion-proof infrared cameras, it is necessary to avoid objects that are completely black, open spaces, water, and other objects that absorb infrared light on site. If infrared light is absorbed or weakened, it will greatly reduce the effective illumination effect of the infrared light, thereby affecting the monitoring image effect of the explosion-proof infrared camera.
Additionally, it should be noted that in chemical plants, some environments may contain explosive gases and dust, and direct maintenance can easily lead to accidents; The correct approach is to remove the explosion-proof camera after power outage and bring it to a safe environment for testing and maintenance.
